MacArthur, Heder & Metler, PLLC is dedicated to practicing law with integrity. This means not only having the desire to do good work, but also the competence to fulfill promises and exceed expectations. We believe our clients are best served by active and empathetic listening, honest opinions, and educated, realistic advice.
We respect our legal peers. We admire and appreciate the many experienced attorneys and judges who have contributed to the success of our firm. We strive to contribute to the cumulative good in our community.
Paul MacArthur and Bill Heder first met while attending J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU. They were both admitted to the Utah State Bar in the fall of 1998. Bill began working for a Provo litigation firm and Paul clerked for two judges in Idaho.
In the year that followed, Paul opened a solo practice in the Provo/Orem area, focusing on tax and estate planning and adoptions. Bill worked as a litigation associate in several law firms in both Utah and Salt Lake County.
The practice has grown rapidly. By the end of 2005, the firm included five attorneys and six paralegals. Recognizing Jeff Metler’s leadership and contribution to the firm’s growth and reputation, the firm name was formally changed to MacArthur, Heder & Metler, PLLC. We offer legal expertise in a broad range of practice areas, including adoption, business/corporations, construction law, elder law, estate planning, family law, personal injury, probate law, immigration, and tax law.
During all of the growth, the addition of more attorneys and moving to a larger space has not been the most significant change. As a firm, we have been fortunate to find very dedicated and competent support personnel. Together with our clients, our secretaries, paralegals, and assistants are the best part of MacArthur, Heder & Metler.
