    Biography

    George graduated from Brigham Young University in 1992 with a bachelor of arts degree in international studies and a minor in Portuguese. In 1996, he earned his juris doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, receiving academic honors for the dean’s list, American Jurisprudence Award for “Professional Responsibility,” and Top Oralist in the Moot Court Competition.

    Upon graduation from law school, George worked at the litigation firm of Porter, Scott, Delehant and Weiberg in Sacramento, California from 1996 to 2000, where his practice focused on insurance defense and medical malpractice defense. In 2000, George and his family moved to Utah where he began working for the law firm of Hill, Johnson and Schmutz in the areas of real estate and business litigation. From 2001 to 2006, George was an associate attorney for the law firm of Ivie & Young, where his practice was primarily in the field of insurance defense and personal injury litigation.

    In February of 2006, George joined MacArthur, Heder & Metler as a partner and focused on general civil litigation, construction law, real estate law, and personal injury litigation. George has 22 years of litigation experience, having participated in many arbitrations, mediations, and jury and bench trials.

    George has three children and enjoys tennis, golf, reading, and traveling.
